Black History is Every Day!

Black history month is coming to an end, but that doesn't mean people should stop finding the endless contributions African-Americans have accomplished.
Here are a few images I love & hopefully you'll enjoy them too!

 
Diahann Carroll paved the way for Black actresses in Hollywood by taking the lead role in 'Julia' and not having the typical Black character's role in television. In 2012, Kerry Washington is now lead actress in ABC's hit show 'Scandal' and 40 years later taking the torch Carroll 
paved all those years earlier.

Gospel is my favorite genre of music and pioneers like Mahalia Jackson, Shirley Caesar, Edward Hawkins, and The Clark Sisters are amongst the many who have contributed to Gospel.

Tamar Braxton, Janet Jackson, Beyonce, Patti Labelle, and the late Whitney Houston are a few of my favs! Their music inspire me to be better and their personalities all shine brightly.
